7 Day Auckland Tour

Day One

formosa accomodationOn arrival at Auckland International Airport you will pick up your transport and self drive to your accommodation  at Formosa Golf Resort, which will be your base for the your stay in New Zealand. Formosa Golf resort is set amongst tropical gardens with panoramic views of the golf curse, the Hauraki Gulf and the distant views of the Coromandel Peninsula, each villa is pure style and luxury. Formosa is listed in the "Finest Golf Courses in the World" and has been developed as an International PGA standard Golf Course and was the venue for the 1998 New Zealand Open. Once you have settle into your accommodation and had lunch it will be time for your first game on New Zealand soil!

Day Two

titirangiAfter breakfast at the resort restaurant you will have your second round at Formosa then after lunch you travel the 45km (approx 35 minutes) drive to Titirangi Golf Club.  New Zealand's only Alister MacKenzie designed course. The MacKenzie touch has created a golf course offering interest, variety, and the subtle cunning of one of the Great Masters of golf course design. Always a pleasure to play, always a challenge, set amongst beautiful surroundings of Native bush and trees.

Day Three

After breakfast you are again booked in to have your second round at Formosa. Your afternoon is free for either relaxing or sightseeing.

Day Four

gulf harbourToday after an early breakfast you travel to the world renowned golf resort, Gulf Harbour Lodge, an hours drive but well worth it.  Gulf Harbour Golf Course is the home of both the World Cup in 1998 and the NZ Golf Open in 2006, the pristine fairways and magnificent views are sure to impress. With native grasses and vegetation the golf course has a natural look and feel from start to finish.. A true golfer's course, it is demanding and satisfying to play, offering variety hole by hole. 

Day Five

grangeAfter another sumptuous breakfast at Formosa you will today travel the 20 minute drive to play 36 holes at another of New Zealand great courses. The Grange, this  is truly one of New Zealand’s top golf courses; so good, it is often used for the New Zealand Open and other professional tournaments. The golf course is not particularly long, but the tightness of the layout requires thoughtful play and accurate tee shots. The smaller distances mean an easier walk around the course, allowing players to enjoy the scenery and the birds. The Grange Clubhouse, one of NZ's most modern, provides players with full bathroom, bar and catering facilities and will be available as a lunch option prior to your second round if you require.

Day Six

Today will be your forth at final "championship round" at Formosa with an approximate 11am tee off  you will have plenty of time in the morning for a leisurely breakfast and be finished in time to prepared for you last evening at Formosa and the golfing stories that we are sure will be shared!
